The City of Bellevue is currently seeking a Recreation Program Technician for the South Bellevue Community Center (SBCC).  This is a generalist position that will provide administrative, program and special event support to recreation staff with an emphasis on marketing and advertising programs and soliciting for donations and sponsorships. Programs will include, but not limited to, preschool, adult, older adult, family, and outdoor recreation. The position will require a ‘self-starter’ person with strong communication and community/public relation skills. Hours are mainly evenings and weekends with some day-time special event assistance.

This position will provide clerical and program support to recreation/community programs or program facilities. The incumbent provides direct one-on-one and group assistance to a diverse group of people, including children, teens, adults, parents, and organizations sponsoring programs or desiring to use the facilities. The Recreation Program Technician maintains attendance records, athletic scores, and other statistical information necessary for reporting and funding programs; assists instructors during programs by providing assistance to program participants; prepares facility for specific activities and cleans up after programs.
