We are looking for an enthusiastic, collaborative, equity-focused individual to join the City’s homeless outreach program and provide direct service to our unhoused community members. The Homelessness Outreach Administrator is located within the Special Projects group in the City Manager’s Office and reports to the Homelessness Outreach Program Manager.   We are a small but nimble group responding to urgent needs and developing long-term strategies to guide city services and implement collaborative solutions to address the needs of unhoused residents.

This outreach staff member will focus particularly on housing navigation, connecting participants to services, and may also support launch of the City’s new safe parking pilot program.

As the City has grown and transitioned into a more urban environment, homelessness has become a more prevalent, enduring challenge.  For decades the city has been actively responding – in partnership with other Eastside jurisdictions – to provide a coordinated, compassionate, and pragmatic response to prevent and address homelessness.  The outreach component of this program provides the bridge between those experiencing homelessness and social services agencies in our region that provide housing, food, job training, counseling, mental health, and substance abuse services.
