Grant funding available to add EV charging to multi-family properties

Are you a multi-family property owner or manager interested in providing electric vehicle (EV) charging to your residents in Kenmore? Let us know!

The Washington State Department of Commerce is offering grant funds to cover the costs of preparing for and installing EV chargers at multi-family residences through their Electric Vehicle Charging Program [ https://waevcharging.org/ ]. The City of Kenmore and King County are looking for multi-family property owners interested in being considered for funding.

Multi-family properties with five or more housing units are eligible for the grant. 100% of EV charger planning and installation costs may be covered for Level 2 chargers (up to $7,500 per charging plug), as well as maintenance. Any costs beyond the awarded funds would be the responsibility of the property owner.

King County will lead a regional application and funding will be determined site by site. The Washington State Department of Commerce will prioritize properties that serve overburdened and low-income residents.
