The *Department of Local Services* (DLS) is seeking to hire a *Senior Business Analyst *with high level analytical and technical skills to lead the effort to ensure department performance measures, operations, and programs are organizationally aligned, results-oriented, and continuously improving. The Business Analyst will play a key role in program and budget planning and monitoring efforts, share technical expertise and recommendations during program development and process improvement efforts, and focus on the development of management data collection and visualization systems. The results of this work will support program and operations monitoring and improvement efforts with staff, management, and the County’s senior leadership team.
 
In addition to being the implementation lead and thought partner for operational excellence, this position may be asked to analyze problems and develop solutions to issues with significant impact to the department. The Analyst may also be asked to lead and implement strategic programs.

This position will work out of the DLS Director's office, report to the Deputy Director, and work closely with management, finance, and program staff from within the Director’s Office and across the department. While having ongoing efforts to manage, the individual in this position may frequently need to switch focus and effort amongst other DLS and division priorities. The DLS Director’s Office includes economic development, participatory budgeting, community needs list, grant, and community engagement programs. The department includes the Roads Services and Permitting Divisions. All programs and divisions work to support the residents of unincorporated King County.
