*Proposed Plymouth Housing Project: **Community Engagement and Timeline Update
*At the January 9 [ https://kenmore.civicweb.net/document/251108/ ] meeting, the City Council directed staff to gather additional public input and continue the discussion on the proposed Plymouth affordable housing project [ https://www.kenmorewa.gov/government/housing-and-human-services/affordable-housing-development ] at 6532 Bothell Way NE. The next day, city staff learned that the $4.2 million-dollar National Housing Trust Fund award to Plymouth for this project must be under contract by May 2024. To meet the May deadline and for this project to remain viable, a decision from the Council on the development agreement application is needed in the first half of February*.*

In response to considerable community feedback, staff have proposed project modifications and contractual requirements for the City Council to consider at a Special Meeting on January 18. [ https://kenmore.civicweb.net/document/252390/ ] At this meeting, the Council will review the proposed project modifications, consider a proposed meeting and community engagement schedule to continue discussions with the community, and discuss potential options and provide next steps.
