Final Draft of Comprehensive Plan Coming in May

In early May the planning team will release the final draft of the Comprehensive Plan. This draft incorporates community feedback on the policy moves and recommendations from the Planning Commission. 

This important milestone will kick-off another round of review prior to a public hearing and a formal recommendation from the Planning Commission later this summer.

The public is invited to learn more about the final draft, how community input was used, and what the process for adoption looks like going forward at an *Information Session* that will be held *Monday, May 6 | 6:30 - 8 p.m.*

This will be a hybrid event and people can either attend in-person at City Hall or via Zoom. Planning Commission to Review Final Draft in May

The Planning Commission will begin their review of the final draft on *Wednesday, May 8 | 6:30 p.m. *Community members are encouraged to provide comments and can do so via email to planningcommission@bellevuewa.gov <planningcommissions@bellevuewa.gov> or in-person or virtually during the meeting. *New Project Alert - Grand Connection Crossing*

Bellevue's Grand Connection will transform the 1.5 miles between Meydenbauer Bay and Eastrail into a public-focused space where people who live, work and play in Bellevue can walk, roll, relax, gather, eat and shop. As part of this effort the city is planning for a crossing over I-405 that will connect downtown Bellevue to Eastrail and the Wilburton neighborhood. 

This spring and summer there will be numerous opportunities for the public to weigh in on potential designs and share their ideas for the kinds of features and programs that could be part of the crossing.
