King County Metro Community Liaisons connect to all our riders
Three of Metro's Community Liasons are pictured smiling behind a table of transit swag [ https://youtu.be/3LNck-uiPm4 ]

Metro is proud to introduce our new Community Liaison pilot program. The program features the voices and perspectives of staff who work to strengthen our relationships with our varied communities through their unique voices and perspectives. Spanish speaking riders? We’ve got you. Swahili? Yes indeed—there’s a liaison for you!

The team helps ensure that the people most in need of transit can weigh in our plans, policies and decisions. That’s important, because ensuring Metro’s services are welcoming and accessible to all is how we succeed.

Heading to the Apple Cup? Skip the traffic and ride public transit!
Husky fans pictured in football jerseys ride the King County Water Taxi into town

Getting to the game has never been easier. Hop on a bus, take the water taxi, ride the streetcar, or catch the light rail (now available from Lynnwood) to Lumen Field.

We’ve got a page that is your one-stop shop  [ https://kingcounty.gov/en/dept/metro/rider-tools/local-sports#toc-Lumen-Field ]on taking transit to Lumen. We also have a map that can help ensure you “escape the rush” as you make your way into Pioneer Square for kickoff. (PDF of map [ https://kingcountymetro.blog/wp-content/uploads/2024/03/Stadium_Events-Center_Map_Weekend.pdf ].)

If you’re coming from south King County or North Seattle, Link 1 Line is an awesome connection to Lumen. Metro has routes that will connect you to the light rail stops along the 1 Line from Angle Lake to Lynnwood!

Looking to take a bus into town? In partnership with Sound Transit, we've added service on Route 150, RapidRides C, D, E, and G Lines, and ST Routes 545, 550 and 554.

If you’re coming from West Seattle, you can “Seize the Game” by riding the Water Taxi from West Seattle to downtown and walk, roll or scoot from Pier 50 to the stadium. Remember, Water Taxi service ends at 7 p.m., but you can stroll to Alaskan Way S. at S. Jackson St. and catch a bus back to West Seattle, with RapidRide C and H Lines.

Learn more about these transit options and start your game day by planning your trip to the game by using Trip Planner [ https://tripplanner.kingcounty.gov/#/app/tripplanning ]  and Text for Departures  [ https://kingcounty.gov/depts/transportation/metro/text-departures.aspx ] (text your bus stop number to 62550).
