Housing Opportunities in Mixed-Use Areas

The HOMA project aims to support more housing development in Bellevue by updating the land use code. Building on the recently adopted Comprehensive Plan, HOMA is aimed at making it easier to build housing in mixed-use areas, create an affordable housing program, and update development rules related to building heights, parking, and setbacks. Some areas will also be rezoned to match the Comprehensive Plan and Future Land Use Map.

For more details on HOMA and proposed rezones, visit the HOMA project page [ https://bellevuewa.gov/HOMA?utm_medium=email&utm_source=govdelivery ] and check out the Housing Related Code Amendments interactive website [ https://storymaps.arcgis.com/stories/049bad6a7ba944ae9d5692ea7a3f3400?utm_medium=email&utm_source=govdelivery ].

Important Updates

To help the community understand what is being proposed, the latest versions of two HOMA strikedrafts are available on the project webpage [ https://bellevuewa.gov/HOMA?utm_medium=email&utm_source=govdelivery ].

These strikedrafts are versions of proposed updates to the city's land use code that shows what changes are being suggested. Feedback from the community on these options will help shape the final version.
