*DEIA Implementation Plan First Review this Monday
*At the July 24 meeting [ https://kenmore.civicweb.net/document/131963/ ], the Kenmore City Council will review a Diversity, Equity, Inclusion, and Accessibility (DEIA) Strategic 5-Year Plan [ https://kenmore.civicweb.net/FileStorage/43623AB0C58246DF99E8455448CAD5E5-City%20of%20Kenmore%20DEIA%20Strategic%20Plan%207.10.23.mk.pdf ]. Late last year, the City Council adopted a DEIA Policy [ https://www.kenmorewa.gov/home/showpublisheddocument/2257/637940787738630000 ] and City Staff utilized that Policy to produce a Strategic Plan that creates a roadmap for advancing DEIA in both the City of Kenmore organization and the greater Kenmore community. Monday's meeting will include a review and discussion of the proposed implementation plan and staff plan to bring back a final DEIA Strategic Plan for City Council adoption in September. The plan was developed by the City's DEIA consultant, Chanin Kelly-Rae Consulting, and city staff, and reviewed by the DEIA  Advisory Committee made up of Kenmore community members.

*The Love Where You Live Project: Share Your Hopes and Dreams for the Future of Kenmore*
The City of Kenmore has launched an exciting year-long community engagement effort called The Love Where You Live Project! We want to hear from as many community members as possible, so please share your feedback!

*Become a Kenmore Water Steward*
The City of Kenmore has partnered with the Hamline Center for Global Environmental Education to bring the national Adopt-a-Drain [ https://wa.adopt-a-drain.org/ ] program to Kenmore. We are proud to now be one of 15 cities in Puget Sound to participate. Residents, businesses, and organizations can sign up [ https://wa.adopt-a-drain.org/ ] to adopt a storm drain of their choosing. Simply go to wa.adopt-a-drain [ https://wa.adopt-a-drain.org/ ].org to see if there is a storm drain near your home, business, school, or favorite park, and sign up to keep it free of leaves and debris. By doing so you will be helping to prevent flooding caused by blocked drains and pollution from reaching our streams and lakes. Every little bit helps.

The City of Kenmore has partnered with Step It Up to provide a variety of activities to get you moving and having fun together outdoors.
