*City Council Adopts the 2025 - 2026 Biennial Budget and Financial Sustainability Plan
*On November 25, the City Council adopted the 2025 - 2026 Biennial Budget, [ https://www.kenmorewa.gov/government/departments/finance-administration/financial-accounting/budget-documents ] setting a clear path forward for future growth and stability. [ https://www.kenmorewa.gov/government/departments/finance-administration/financial-accounting/budget-documents ]The 200+ page budget reflects the City’s commitment to enhancing quality of life for residents and fostering long-term sustainability. The budget also provides funding to perform due diligence and testing for the potential acquisition of a portion of the Lakepointe property. That same evening, the City Council also adopted the Financial Sustainability Plan [ https://www.kenmorewa.gov/government/departments/finance-administration/financial-sustainability-plan ], which outlines key strategies for balancing both revenues and expenditures, ensuring Kenmore’s future financial health. *Kenmore Senior Women's Shelter: A Message from Lake City Partners* 
Lake City Partners [ https://lakecitypartners.org/kenmore-senior-womens-shelter/ ] is incredibly grateful to announce that even though the Kenmore Senior Women's Shelter is not yet officially open, they have been able to move four elder women off the street and into the new shelter in the former Mary's Place location. This is entirely due to the speed at which the county, city and community rallied to ready the Kenmore Senior Women's Shelter in time for winter. They are still waiting on some vital equipment before the space can officially open, but are very grateful to be so close to the finish line and able to accept these four women. *Kenmore's Diversity, Equity, Inclusion, and Accessibility (DEIA) Advisory Committee is currently seeking to fill vacant positions. The DEIA Committee is made up of members who either live or work in Kenmore, reflect the city’s diversity, and have relevant DEIA experience through their education, work, or other lived experience. *Kenmore Winterfest Brings the Community Together to Celebrate a Magical Year
*The Winterfest event in Kenmore on December 14 was a resounding success, with over 2,000 attendees joining in the holiday cheer. More than 35 craft vendors showcased their unique goods while families enjoyed a variety of activities and games. It was a wonderful celebration of community spirit and a festive way to mark the end of remarkable and magical year in Kenmore.  As we head into the holidays, we wish all Kenmore community members a joyous holiday season and a Happy New Year! Please note that City Hall will be closed on December 25 and January 1.
