Alaskan Way Safety Project

*Please be aware that parking is temporarily restricted 24/7 on both sides of Alaskan Way between Broad St and Blanchard St*. Restrictions are set to be in place through construction and may be removed in some locations as activities are completed. *
Over the next few weeks, you'll see the following construction activities in the project area:
*Wall St to Vine St*
* Demolition and restoration of street corners and roadway to install underground electrical conduits
* Constructing concrete roadway panels, sidewalks, and ADA curb ramps
*Bell St to Wall St*
* Demolition and restoration of street corners and roadway to install underground electrical conduits
* Constructing concrete roadway panels, sidewalks, and ADA curb ramps
*Bell St to Blanchard St*
* Bollard installation on west side of Alaskan Way
*Please note: Crews will not be working on Monday, February 17 in observance of President's Day.*
*Construction for the Elliott Bay Connections (EBC) greenway trail began on Monday, February 10. Work is currently taking place on the east side of Alaskan Way between Virginia St and Blanchard St. Typical work hours are 7 AM to 6 PM, Monday through Friday. *What to expect during construction* Typical work hours are Monday – Friday, from 7 AM to 5 PM. During this time you can expect:
* Temporary traffic revisions to accommodate construction activities
* Temporary parking restrictions near work zones
* Noisy construction activities, such as backup alarms for safety, heavy vehicle and truck use, and the use of large equipment
* Steel plates in the roadway
* Please note that much of this work is weather-dependent and subject to schedule changes
