The City of Bellevue Parks & Community Services (PCS) has an internship opportunity for an* Adaptive Recreation Intern* for Spring/Summer 2024.
 
This internship* *will work primarily within the adaptive recreation program at Highland Community Center. This position will also be exposed to policy and procedure discussions with the overarching citywide ADA and Title VII requirements for access and non-discrimination. The City of Bellevue values the diverse community it serves.

This position will gain valuable hands-on experiences and insight into how community recreation activities and programming can include and support all who choose to participate.  
*Gain experience in:*

* Adaptive recreation day camps for children with intellectual and physical disabilities, 
* Adult adaptive recreation, and
* Programs for people with physical disabilities. 
This is a paid internship position that will work up to 20 hours per week unless it’s part of a specific school internship program during Spring Semester/Quarter.

* Internship begins in Spring-Summer 2024.
* The maximum length of the internship is six (6) months.
* Work Hours: up to 20 hours per week. If part of a specific school internship program or during school breaks,  you are eligible for more than works 30 – 35 hours during the week academic year and holidays.
