Chief's Award: Citizen Commendation
________________________________________________________________________
chiefs award
At Tuesday night's Kent City Council meeting, Kent PD Deputy Chief Matt Stansfield and I honored 3 teenage girls who successfully thwarted the kidnapping of their 6-year-old neighbor earlier this summer.
Their bravery and quick thinking saved the child, and also contributed significantly to bringing the suspect to justice.
For these reasons, Bentley, Kylie and Esme were awarded the Chief's Award for Citizen Commendation for their exceptional courage and selflessness in the face of danger.
I'm so proud of these girls, and their families should too!
