The City of Bellevue's Transportation Department-Mobility Operations is recruiting a Streets Superintendent. The Superintendent plans, assigns, and reviews work and priorities for the Street crews engaged in the operations and maintenance of the Streets infrastructure. The Superintendent executes policies, develops maintenance and operation procedures; recommends priorities, goals, and objectives for the ongoing operation of the Street functions.
 
The Streets section is comprised of 22 staff members including 2 Crew Leaders, 4 Program Lead Workers and 15 Skilled Workers and 1 Senior Business Process Analyst. Temporary/seasonal and part-time staff are employed as conditions warrant the need.
 
The Superintendent position is responsible for the following key areas:

* Supervises and evaluates professional and technical staff while providing direction, guidance, and support.
* Establishes work plan and monitors the daily activities, provides support in decision making.
* Program Management forecasting 6 to 12 months ahead of current season aligning the section and programs with any needed support and resources.
* Monitoring the section budget, prepare annual work plan, staffing levels, monitoring training, succession planning, quarterly evaluation reviews and maintaining & developing section Standard Operating Procedures (SOP).
* Responsible for risk claims and safety management and responds to customer service requests.
