Are you a strong dedicated leader? Do you have a background in land use? We are looking for you to join our dynamic Development Services team as our next Assistant Director. You will provide direction and leadership to the Land Use Division of the Development Services Department including administration and interpretation of land use regulations, oversight of land use approvals and permit decisions, and management of environmental reviews consistent with federal, state, and local regulations. You will also play a key role as part of the department leadership to establish and maintain Council relationship, communicate department strategy, vision, policy, and support department and division initiatives.

Development Services is a multi-department line of business that offers one-stop shopping for general information and the permits needed for development activity in Bellevue and the surrounding service areas.  We are code compliance officers, engineers, finance analysts, inspectors, planners, plans examiners, permit technicians, and support staff from the Development Services, Fire, Transportation, and Utilities departments.
