Economic Development Specialist [ https://www.governmentjobs.com/careers/bellevuewa/Jobs/4456795?utm_medium=email&utm_source=govdelivery ]
Bellevue stands at the forefront of transformation, serving as Seattle’s largest neighbor and a beacon for innovation and diversity. With over 40% of residents born outside the U.S., our vibrant community attracts tech pioneers, outdoor enthusiasts, and individuals from around the globe. Major employers such as Pokémon, Valve, Amazon, SAP Concur, and T-Mobile contribute to our thriving economy, creating a globally competitive environment.

As the city experiences significant growth, with plans to add over 30,000 jobs and introduce its first light rail line, there is a growing demand for walkable neighborhoods, community-driven experiences, and high-quality public spaces. To meet these evolving needs, the Cultural and Economic Development division (CED) is dedicated to enhancing transit-oriented development and capacity building within our neighborhoods.

The Economic Development Specialist, reporting to the Public Private Partnership (P3) Manager, will occupy a pivotal position within a diverse work portfolio aimed at advancing the city’s objectives, policies, and visions. This specialist will be situated within CED, part of the Community Development department. Their role encompasses a range of key responsibilities, including supporting transit-oriented development projects, participating in the planning and development of Bellevue’s property portfolio, conducting comprehensive assessments of economic development initiatives, and actively fostering collaborative partnerships with the private sector. These initiatives align closely with the city's overarching goals of sustainable growth, community enrichment, and economic prosperity.

The ideal candidates for this position will demonstrate robust abilities in project management, real estate, and program development, coupled with a creative mindset. We seek individuals adept at multitasking, capable of seamlessly coordinating various programs and services. Join our team in shaping a vibrant, diverse, and innovative community nestled in the picturesque landscapes of the Pacific Northwest.

Consider applying for this role if you are passionate about driving TOD projects, thrive in an entrepreneurial environment, and seek opportunities to grow your skills in real estate development, partnerships, and program development. body { font-size: 1em; font-family: Arial, Verdana, sans-serif; font-weight: normal; font-style: normal; color: #333333; }
