*City Council Approves Contract for New City Manager*
On July 28 [ https://kenmorewa.portal.civicclerk.com/event/801/files/agenda/1007 ], the Kenmore City Council approved the contract with Teri Killgore to serve as the City’s next permanent City Manager, beginning September 8. Killgore brings 30 years of public service experience and currently serves as Economic Development Director for the City of Scottsdale, AZ. She will be formally introduced and welcomed at the September 8 City Council meeting.

*City Hall Reception Hours Are Changing Starting August 11*
To better align with community needs and improve service efficiency, Kenmore City Hall is updating its front desk reception hours [ https://www.kenmorewa.gov/Home/Components/News/News/459/301 ] starting Monday, August 11. 

*New Reception Hours:*


* *Monday, Tuesday, Thursday:* 9 a.m. - 3 p.m.
* *Wednesday:* 12 p.m. - 5 p.m "(Development Services Open Permit Hours: 9 a.m. – 12 p.m.)"
* *Friday:* Closed (no reception hours)

This change is part of a pilot program informed by data on walk-in visits and call volume. An updated City Hall phone tree, launched in July, is already helping direct callers more efficiently and allowing staff to better assist in-person visitors. A new self-service kiosk is also available in the City Hall lobby during all open hours. For questions or feedback, email cityhall@kenmorewa.gov.

August is full of vibrant arts activities in Kenmore, and you're invited to join the fun! *Play Day and Movie Night — More Summer Fun on the Way
*Come out, play, and enjoy some summer fun with your community at these two upcoming special events:


* *Movies @ the Square* [ https://www.kenmorewa.gov/our-city/special-events/movies-town-square ] is back on August 13, featuring Inside Out 2. Festivities begin at 8 p.m., and the movie will screen at dusk. Enjoy free popcorn and crafts in a family-friendly outdoor setting.


* *Play Day [ https://www.kenmorewa.gov/our-city/special-events/play-day ]* is on August 16 from 10 a.m. - 1 p.m. This fun-filled, free event includes outdoor activities, like field games and a bounce house, to get kids moving and playing!
