*Kenmore City Council Approves Purchase and Sale Agreement with Imagine Housing
*On Monday evening [ https://kenmore.civicweb.net/document/261460/ ], the Kenmore City Council unanimously approved the purchase and sale agreement to transfer City-owned property at 7010 NE 181st Street to Imagine Housing. The affordable housing development slated for that property is a unique partnership between Imagine Housing and Habitat for Humanity to bring at least 103 rental units and 18 homeownership units affordable to households at 50-60% Area Median Income (rental) and 80% Area Median Income (homeownership).  Additional information can be found on the City’s website [ https://www.kenmorewa.gov/government/housing-and-human-services/affordable-housing-development-proposal ] and the Imagine Housing website. *2025 Annual Hydroplane Cup Returns April 12
*Get ready to hear the nostalgic sounds of hydroplanes in Kenmore on Saturday, April 12! The 2025 Kenmore Hydroplane Cup [ https://www.seattleoutboard.org/events/2025-annual-kenmore-hydroplane-cup ] is free and open to the public for viewing, with opening ceremonies beginning at the Kenmore boat launch ramp at 10 a.m. and exhibition races running from 12 p.m. to 4 p.m.

"This historic event has brought the community to the banks of the Sammamish “Slough” since 1938 and ended in 1976. It was brought back to life after local artist A. Gaul Culley collaborated closely with Seattle Outboard Association, Race Chairman Jan Shaw and boat racer Brent Hall to start the races again in recent years."*

*The Kenmore Farmers Market, now managed by Northshore Farmers Markets [ https://www.northshorefarmersmarkets.org/volunteer-kenmore ], relies heavily on the support of dedicated volunteers. Northshore Farmers Markets is seeking volunteers who are passionate about local food, sustainability, and community building to help create a safe and fun market experience. There are a variety of volunteer opportunities available, ranging from community outreach and kids’ programs to staffing at the market and helping with set up and closing. "Interested in signing up?" Attend an upcoming "Coffee with Council", a relaxed and intimate setting where you can engage with a few councilmembers over a cup of coffee. This is your opportunity to share thoughts, ask questions, and discuss the issues that matter most to you.
