The City of Bellevue Transportation Department is seeking a Senior Transportation Planner who is self-motivated and team-oriented to join our team of progressive professionals in the Long Range Planning (LRP) Division. 
 
LRP works with the Transportation Commission, the City Council, a broad cross-section of disciplines within the City of Bellevue staff organization, other boards and commissions, and community stakeholders to establish a vision for the city’s multi-modal transportation system, develop and implement policy, and engage the public to create blueprints on how best to maintain, sustain and improve the city’s multi-modal transportation system. 
 
The Senior Transportation Planner will manage a variety of transportation projects and plans to keep Bellevue moving forward into the future. These projects and plans may be citywide in scale or focused on specific transportation corridors, neighborhoods, or light rail station areas. Representative responsibilities include overseeing road safety assessments to identify spot and corridor improvements, leading the planning, programming, and prioritization of the City’s bicycling program, managing consultant design contracts resulting in “rapid-build” bicycle installations, collaborating with partner agencies to implement transit speed and reliability projects in support of Bellevue’s growth and development, partnering with lead departments and supporting the Transportation Commission to prepare transportation policy recommendations, and leading projects around data, analytics, and emerging mobility.
