SUBJECT:  Community E-lert® - *Rules Regarding the Medina Park*

Community E-lert® is a registered trademark of the City of Medina Police Department.   This announcement is provided as a public service to residents of Medina and Hunts Point.  It is our intention to distribute these E-lerts following an occurrence or condition that may have public safety or community well-being implications.

*Rules Regarding the Medina Park*

The Medina Park is open from 6:00 am to 10:00 pm.

*_On-Leash Area_*

All dogs must be on a leash, tether, or chain not to exceed eight feet in length when on the west side of the park "(reference the map below)."

*_Off-Leash Area_*

Dogs in the off-leash area on the east side of the park are required to be within positive voice control of their owner or handler and must respond promptly to the commands of the owner or handler "(reference the map below)".

Please remember, no handler shall have more than two dogs in the park at any time and must possess one leash per dog.

Dogs are not permitted in the pond nor in any designated playground areas, except when under the restraint of a leash.

Violations of these rules will constitute a Class 1 Civil Infraction with a current maximum penalty of $250.00 (RCW 7.80.120).
