3rd Ave S & S Main St Improvements Project Construction Updates

Construction updates: March 13, 2025

Construction on the 3rd Ave S & S Main St Improvements Project [ https://www.seattle.gov/transportation/projects-and-programs/programs/transit-program/3rd-ave-s-and-s-main-st-bus-stop?utm_medium=email&utm_source=govdelivery ] is ongoing.  

During the weekend (*March 15-16*), we will not be doing any construction on the 3rd Ave and Main Improvements project. 

Next week (*March 17-21*), we will: 


* Repave the west lane of 3rd Ave between Yesler Way and S Washington. We will need to restrict parking and loading on the east side of the street, but you can still reach the Frye Garage. A uniformed officer will help guide you to the garage. 

* Demo, prep roadway base, and repave the west side of 3rd Ave S between S Washington and S Main St. While this work is underway, we will need to restrict parking/loading on the east side of 3rd Ave.  

* Sawcut, demolish, prep roadway base, and pour new concrete roadway panels in the intersection of 2nd Ave Ext & S Main St
