*Rainbow Steps Community Paint Day on August 5
*You're invited to help paint the nationally recognized Chevron Pride Flag onto the steps of City Hall on Saturday, August 5, from 10 am - 4 pm and support this community led Kenmore Urban Pride art project. The Paint Day on Saturday is open to all ages and abilities and there will be a follow up event on Sunday, August 6, open to artists and anyone great at wielding a brush for final touch ups. *61st Avenue Sidewalk Replacement Project and Our Trees:
Share Your Feedback
*The City of Kenmore is evaluating design alternatives to determine the best way to proceed with the 61st Avenue NE Sidewalk Replacement Project. The existing sidewalk on 61st Avenue NE is currently impassable in places and this project will replace sidewalk damaged panels, install bike lanes, provide safe pedestrian street crossings, and repave the 61st roadway from NE 190th Street and the north city limits. "How does the City replace the sidewalk ensuring its longevity AND save the existing street trees given their proximity to one another within this limited space?" This is where your input is needed. City Council will take the public feedback under advisement and convene in September to choose a path forward.

*Council Reviews Capital Improvement Program Updates and Public Works Operations Facility Funding Proposal
*At the July 24 meeting [ https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=6H3GTCI14ow ], the Kenmore City Council reviewed proposed updates to the 2023-2028 Capital Improvement Program [ https://kenmore.civicweb.net/FileStorage/6A63C16607944580A5D3D589CC595FC8-Agenda%20Bill%20CIP%202023%20rev.pdf ] for Parks, Transportation and City Facilities. The updates reflect the addition of new transportation projects as well as increases and decreases to existing projects based on updated estimates for completion. The Council also reviewed the proposed Public Works Operations Center [ https://kenmore.civicweb.net/FileStorage/317FD14CA3764E4794A92B92A2C8D190-PWOC%20AB%20July%2024,%20202.pdf ] project phased approach and funding strategy. Since last year, the City has been in the preliminary design stage for a new Public Works Operations Center on the recently acquired property on 202nd Street next to Kenmore Middle School. The new facility will serve the growing demand for maintenance and operations support for Kenmore's parks, streets, and facilities.

*National Night Out at the Kenmore Farmers Market on August 2
*National Night Out joins the Kenmore Farmers Market next Wednesday, August 2! Join this community event for fun activities such as police displays, crime prevention tips, community booths, safety giveaways, and more, all in conjunction with the Kenmore Farmer's Market. All the activities will be on NE 181st between 67th Avenue NE and 68th Avenue NE.
