*EDI Program and Projects Status Update*

Earlier this year, City Council (via Council Ordinance 127036 [ https://clerk.seattle.gov/search/ordinances/127036?utm_medium=email&utm_source=govdelivery ]) requested that we develop and deliver a comprehensive EDI Program and Projects Status Report [ https://www.seattle.gov/documents/Departments/OPCD/OngoingInitiatives/EquitableDevelopmentInitiative/OPCD-EDIProgramAndProjectsStatusReportOctober2024.pdf?utm_medium=email&utm_source=govdelivery ] by September 24. The Report serves as an important tool for EDI program planning, grantee engagement, and decision-making regarding the 2025-2026 City budget and future funding for EDI.

The Report will contribute to our long-term reporting framework and data collection efforts; providing a comprehensive update on the progress of funded projects, challenges grantees face along their development journey, potential future funding needs, recommendations for program improvement, and insights for further exploration with grantees and through strategic planning efforts next year.

In addition, later this year we will publish an update to the Report that expands on the development journey of funded organizations though more in-depth profiles of each EDI project, sharing the impact the organization has on our community and details about the vision and purpose that drives their equitable development efforts.
