*September is National Emergency Preparedness month [ https://www.ready.gov/september ]! *

The Medina Emergency Preparedness Committee is an outstanding place to get information on the following:

* Emergency Preparedness tips & suggestions
* Gear & equipment to have at your home, in your vehicle and at the office
* How to stay in communication with your friends and family, and to request emergency services when the normal methods of communication become inoperable
* How to stay informed about upcoming weather hazards, dangerous conditions and events that may impact your safety, health and/or travel

The Medina Police Department was thrilled to take part in the recent Seafair and Medina Days celebrations throughout the month of August, and one of our primary focuses was to highlight the importance of being prepared and staying safe as you live, work and travel throughout the community.

We handed out hundreds of small emergency kits designed for kids:

We also provided a pamphlet with highly valuable information on how to be prepared, stay informed and stay healthy no matter the situation. These pamphlets are always available at the Medina Police Department, and we have added it as a resource on our website as well.

Please visit our website [ https://www.medina-wa.gov/police ] for more details on the Emergency Preparedness Committee [ https://www.medina-wa.gov/eps ] and all of the important work they are doing for our community. We look forward to seeing you at our next Emergency Preparedness Committee meeting on October 11, 2023!
