Bellevue Utilities is seeking a Skilled Worker to join our Storm and Surface Water team. The Storm and Surface Water team is tasked with inspection, operation and maintenance of the City’s Storm and Surface Water System that:

* Provides flood control; Protects water quality;
* Provides the safe conveyance of stormwater to streams, lakes and wetlands; Protects natural habitat; and
* Provides education to protect the environment.
As a Skilled Worker with the Storm and Surface Water team, we are looking for individuals that are focused on being part of a team, have a passion for improving water quality and protection of our streams and lakes within Bellevue.
Individuals assigned to this job classification perform a wide variety of maintenance-related tasks. Under direct supervision, employees will inspect, repair, construct, and clean the public drainage system; be involved in vegetation removal and brushing; reconstruct stream corridors; dig around utility sites, drive light duty vehicles and keep them clean; as well as flag and direct traffic. This job classification typically inspects and maintains a variety of tools and safety equipment used in their job.
