The seven members of the Park Board provide guidance in meeting the parks and recreational needs of the city by advising the City Council and staff on matters relating to planning, acquisition, development and operation of park facilities and recreational programs within the city.

The Park Board meets six (6) times a year on the third Monday of every other month at 5:00 p.m.

The City Council may refer to the seven members of the Planning Commission, for its recommendation and report, any ordinance, resolution or other proposal relating to any of the matters and subjects referred to in Chapter 35A.63 RCW, and the commission shall promptly report to the council thereon, making such recommendations and giving such counsel deemed proper.

The Planning Commission currently meets the fourth Tuesday of each month at 6:00 pm.

Medina citizens interested in volunteering their time and service to the City of Medina must submit an volunteer application to be considered for an appointment.
