Recreation Program Technician, North Bellevue Community Center [ https://www.governmentjobs.com/careers/bellevuewa/Jobs/4161084?utm_medium=email&utm_source=govdelivery ]
The City of Bellevue is currently seeking a *Recreation Program Technician* for the North Bellevue Community Center (NBCC). This is a generalist position that will provide administrative, program and special event support to recreation staff with an emphasis on grant reporting, marketing, and advertising programs and soliciting for donations and sponsorships. Programs will include, but not limited to, adult, older adult, family, intergenerational, sports, trips, dementia friendly and outdoor recreation. The position will require a 'self-starter' person with strong communication and community/public relation skills. Hours are mainly days with some evening-time program assistance; however, hours may fluctuate to accommodate events and programs. Positions in this classification provide clerical and program support to recreation/community programs or program facilities.
 
*Distinguishing Characteristics:
*Recreation Program Technician is distinguished from Recreation Coordinator by its role in lending program support to activities or facilities. The Recreation Coordinator has supervisory responsibility, funding responsibility and plans and develops programs. The position is further distinguished from Administrative positions by its emphasis on direct program participant/activity support, as opposed to general office and administrative support work.

*Working Schedule:* This is for a variable, partially benefitted employee (PBE) position. The hours will be approximately 15-20 hours per week.
