Dear Neighbor,  
 
The King County Flood Control District [ https://kingcountyfloodcontrol.org/ ], together with King County as the service provider, completed repairing a revetment in the Circle River Ranch neighborhood in October. A revetment is a facing of rock or other material placed along a riverbank to reduce erosion risk, which could affect people and property.

The damaged portion of the Circle River Ranch Revetment (shown below) on the South Fork Snoqualmie River was repaired with a buried revetment that extends away from the river on King County property. The revetment will remain buried until river erosion exposes it. Once exposed, the revetment will continue to limit erosion.

Thank you to the neighbors who came out to see the revetment in September before it was buried. We also appreciate your patience with the noise from the project. While the project and plantings are complete, King County will monitor the site through 2029 for permit compliance. Routine inspections of the new and old portions of the Circle River Ranch Revetment will continue uninterrupted.
