Adverse Weather Advisory - March 26, 2025
Notice to Medina Residents:
We are expecting a storm system to move into our area tonight.
The main event will be this evening from 4-10 pm, starting across the southern Puget Sound 4-7 pm, then with a line of strong thunderstorms tracking northward across the rest of the service territory 6-10 pm. Under the cores of the strongest thunderstorms will be large hail up to 1”, frequent lightning, and gusty outflow winds of 20-40+ mph. The areas likely to get hit hardest with thunderstorms are favored to be the I-405 corridor and east into the Cascades, initially focused across eastern Pierce and King Counties. Although, all areas could see some impacts/outages. Showers and isolated thunderstorms will continue Thursday, along with breezy winds w/gusts of 30-45 mph. Scattered showers will continue across the region Saturday, followed by a brief drier break Sunday. High temperatures will cool into the mid-50s Fri-Mon, along with lows of lower to mid-40s. Most important, there are likely to be several outages this evening as a line of strong thunderstorms rolls through.
