Local, on-demand Metro Flex service now serving the Northshore area
Building on the success of Metro Flex [ https://kingcounty.gov/en/dept/metro/travel-options/metro-flex ] services offered in eight other areas of King County, Metro has expanded to the Northshore region in a pilot project. Riders will be able to use the Metro Flex app to book rides on minivans and travel between locations in north Kenmore, Lake Forest Park, Mountlake Terrace and Brier.
Northshore Metro flew service area connected to Montlake Terrace Station
Metro Flex Northshore operates Monday through Friday, from 7 a.m. to 7 p.m. Go shopping, meet friends for lunch or head to appointments – whatever your destination is within the service area, Metro Flex will take you there.
Metro Flex delivers flexible, reliable transportation *for $2.75 a trip* – the same fare as a ride on a Metro bus. As with other Metro services, reduced fares are available for customers with disabilities, customers with lower incomes and seniors. Youth 18 and under ride free!
A defining feature of Metro Flex is the ability to launch, test and refine the innovative service in partnership with communities. Metro Flex currently operates in Delridge/South Park, Issaquah/Sammamish, Juanita, Kent, Othello, Rainier Beach/Skyway, the Renton Highlands and Tukwila.

Celebrating increased mobility options during Transportation Demand Management Week
Reducing barriers to mobility and increasing transportation options is the focus of Transit Demand Management (TDM) Week, which is being celebrated from Sept. 16th to 20th. The timing of the celebration coincides with Metro expanding the options [ https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=3LNck-uiPm4 ] available for people to choose to leave their cars at home and take transit to get where the need to go.
Riders can now board the new RapidRide G Line [ https://www.seattle.gov/transportation/projects-and-programs/programs/transit-program/transit-plus-multimodal-corridor-program/madison-rapidride-g-line ], connect with the bus routes that will take you to the expanded Link Light Rail 1 Line, and request an on-demand Metro Flex ride in Northshore. Metro is providing greater mobility choices throughout the region.
The best way to get involved in Transit Demand Management Week is to choose your favorite transit option and use it to get where you need to go. Enjoy your walk, ride or roll!

Earn rewards when you bike or scoot to transit!
As we step into fall, King County Metro, in partnership with the Seattle Department of Transportation (SDOT), Sound Transit and Lime, is offering a new exciting promotion for those connecting their rides on shared bikes or scooters with public transit. Whether you’re hopping on a bus or catching the Link light rail, you can now earn rewards just by riding and parking at certain transit hubs.
*How It works*
* *Connect your accounts:* After downloading the Lime [ https://www.li.me/ ] and Transit GO Ticketing [ https://kingcounty.gov/en/dept/metro/fares-and-payment/ways-to-pay/transit-go-ticket ] apps, sign up for Rewards and connect your Lime account. When you connect, you’ll instantly earn 300 points, enough for a transit ticket, ensuring you can quickly start using rewards for your combined trips.
* *Take a qualifying trip:* Each time you ride a Lime scooter or bike and park it at a preferred parking spot, you will automatically earn 300 points. These points can be redeemed within 24 hours for future transit fares!
* *Participate in surveys:* After completing a qualifying trip, you will be invited to take a short survey about your experience. This feedback helps us improve the program and tailor it to your needs. Plus, you’ll earn even more points for participating.
For more details on getting started and to read the full terms and conditions, visit the program webpage [ https://kingcounty.gov/metro/BikeScoot2Transit ].
