Construction updates for 15th Ave W/NW

Hello neighbors, 

As a reminder, the Ballard Bridge is open until further notice. Instead, the *Leary Way Bridge will be closed this weekend June 27 – June 30, with lane reductions starting at 7 PM and the bridge fully closed by 10 PM on Friday, June 27. The bridge will reopen by  5 AM on Monday, June 30.*  

People driving south on 15th Ave NW will need to travel down to Leary Way NW, then use the on-ramp to access the Ballard Bridge. People traveling north from Interbay via the Ballard Bridge will need to exit down to Leary Way NW using the off-ramp to continue into Ballard.    

Please note that this schedule may change due to weather conditions or other unexpected circumstances.

The bike and pedestrian path on the Ballard Bridge will remain open this weekend. Due to anticipated delays, *we encourage drivers to take the Aurora Bridge as a detour route to avoid increased traffic on the Ballard bridge.*

Reminder: Weekday overnight work along 15th Ave NW 

Crews are continuing to stripe *15th Ave NW between NW 57th St and **NW **Ballard **Way*, excluding the NW Leary Way intersection. This work is scheduled* weekday nights from 7 PM – 6 AM *and continue for approximately two weeks.

*What to Expect *  


* You may hear loud humming and grinding, diesel engine exhaust, and workers' voices. You may also hear and feel low pitch vibrations.  

* We will temporarily close driving lanes on 15th Ave NW between NW 57th St and NW Ballard Way.

* We will close streets to thru traffic as needed between 17th Ave NW and 14th Ave NW. You will still be able to walk, roll, bike, or drive to businesses and homes on these streets.  

* We will temporarily close the sidewalk in work areas. There will be detour signs in place to direct you around construction.
