Every six years, the King County Department of Assessments conducts physical inspections of all real estate in King County. Per the King County Assessor, the Points Communities are now due for their property inspections.

Appraisers will be driving slowly through neighborhoods, knocking on doors to gather information, and walking the site to inspect land conditions and outbuildings. They will be wearing badges with their photo identifying themselves as King County Assessor officials. Some of the vehicles they drive will be marked with King County logos, but some will be unmarked private vehicles.

According to the King County Department of Assessments, RCW 84.40.025 [ https://app.leg.wa.gov/rcw/default.aspx?cite=84.40.025 ] subjects all real property shall be subject to visitation, investigation, examination, or discovery, and listing at any reasonable time by the County Assessor of the county.

Additional information about this process can be found on the Assessor's website [ https://kingcounty.gov/en/dept/assessor ] or by contacting the King County Department of Assessments public information office at (206) 296-7300.
