Revised PSCSC Rules of Practice and Procedure

On April 18, 2025, the Seattle Public Safety Civil Service Commission (“PSCSC”), acting under the authority of SMC 4.08.070, section A, amended the following Public Safety Civil Service Commission Rules of Practice and Procedure:   


* Rule 2.13 REVIEW AND RECONSIDERATION OF ACTIONS OR DECISIONS OF THE DIRECTOR
* Rule 8.07 ADMISSION TO EXAMINATION PENDING APPEAL  
* Rule 9.09 PROMOTIONAL DEVELOPMENT COMMITTEE
* Rule 9.15 MILITARY PERSONNEL AND PROMOTIONAL EXAMS
* Rule 9.20 PREFERENCE FOR MULTILINGUAL CANDIDATES

The PSCSC made these amendments to reflect the transfer of the civil service exam unit from the Seattle Department of Human Resources to the Civil Service Department, as required by Ordinance 127127 [ https://library.municode.com/wa/seattle/ordinances/municipal_code?nodeId=1329577&utm_medium=email&utm_source=govdelivery ].
