TONIGHT! Nighttime Paving Work on Denny Way Begins

Overnight Grinding Work Scheduled Wednesday & Thursday

*We are beginning our nighttime paving work on Denny Way!*

The paving work will require our contractors to *remove the top two or three inches of existing asphalt from Denny Way using a grinding machine*. We will be doing this work at night to reduce traffic impacts during the day. *The grinding work is expected to begin at 7:00 pm and end at 5:00 am.* We will work in more populated areas earlier in the evening on both nights to reduce noise impacts as much as possible.

Once the grinding is complete, we will add asphalt patches to holes, and add edges to driveways and around inlets in the road. *We will close lanes on May 14 and May 15 for this work.* People travelling north or south across Denny Way during this time could experience 15-minute delays. People living along Denny Way will experience *noise from vehicles and machinery, vibration, dust, and short-term delays at driveways.*

*Between 5th Ave and Westlake Ave – Eastbound and Westbound Lane Closures * 


* *Night of May 14:* Two eastbound lanes will be closed from 7 PM to 5 AM for grinding work.
*Night of May 15:* Two westbound lanes will be closed from 7 PM to 5 AM for grinding work.
