The goal is to cut the permitting time in half, from the previous average of 240 days down to 120. Sparklebarn does most of their furniture restoration in-house, including Danish cord weaving. A scarcity of materials like rattan and wicker during World War II led Danish furniture designers to develop the technique that uses surprisingly strong cord made from tightly twisted paper.
