*Take the Human Services Survey – "We Want to Hear From You!"
*The City of Kenmore is working with Health Management Associates, a national research and consulting firm, to learn more about what support systems our community needs to help residents through economic and personal crisis and provide opportunities for "all" residents to succeed. We have developed a short 10-minute survey to identify gaps in the human services system in Kenmore. The City will use the information gathered to make decisions about funding and programs that will provide critical services to our residents in need. All community members are invited to *take the survey [ https://www.kenmorewa.gov/government/housing-and-human-services ]* between now and January 19.

*Kenmore Business Alliance January Strategic Session*
The Kenmore Business Alliance [ https://bothellkenmorechamber.org/our-chamber/committees/kenmore-business-alliance/ ] (KBA) will meet on January 11 for its first meeting of 2024. The meeting will include a strategic session where attendees will vote on proposals for utilizing business registration program dollars to carry out the KBA’s priorities for 2024. All Kenmore business owners are invited to attend the meeting, to be held from 8:30 a.m. - 10 a.m. at Kenmore City Hall. The KBA is a committee of the Bothell Kenmore Chamber of Commerce [ https://bothellkenmorechamber.org/ ], but you do not need to be a Chamber member to participate. **Swamp Creek Habitat Restoration Project Celebrates Its 100th Work Party this Saturday*
*Join Sno-King Watershed Council, in partnership with the City of Kenmore, for habitat restoration at Wallace Swamp Creek Park on Saturday, January 6, from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. "It will be the group's 100th work party! "Everyone is welcome and RSVPs are not required, but are helpful for planning [ https://swampcreekwatershed.org/upcoming-work-parties/ ]. *Thank you* to Tracy Banaszynski, for leading and organizing 100 community work parties to restore native vegetation, improve biodiversity and habitat for native wildlife, and revitalize the Swamp Creek watershed.

*Congratulations to the 2023 Winter Porch Light Parade Winners
*The recent 4th Annual Winter Porch Light Parade [ https://sites.google.com/view/winter-porch-light-parade/home ] highlighted dazzling light displays around local neighborhoods this holiday season. There were 25 Kenmore displays and 67 display entries in total submitted through the online map. This event was held in partnership with the Cities of Bothell, Lake Forest Park, and Shoreline. Congratulations to the winning Kenmore displays:

* "*2nd*""* Place*" - "Giant Reindeer and Gorgeous Lights" - The Kim Family

*Financial Sustainability Plan Task Force*


* The Financial Sustainability Plan [ https://www.kenmorewa.gov/government/departments/finance-administration/financial-sustainability-plan ] (FSP) Task Force had their first meeting this week and will be meeting on the first and third Wednesdays of the month at 6:30 p.m. through April in the Community Room at City Hall.
