Extended Saturday work hours continue on north Mercer Island through March 2025





King County’s contractor has been approved to continue working Saturdays from 7 a.m. to 7 p.m. in project areas on north Mercer Island. These extended hours began in June 2024 and are now approved through March 29, 2025.

 

Extending Saturday work hours helps crews make progress on construction more quickly. These work hours were approved by the City of Mercer Island.

What to expect

* Approved work hours are 7 a.m. - 7 p.m. Monday - Saturday.
* No work planned on December 25 and January 1.

* Noise, dust, and vibrations typical of an active construction project.
* Emergency vehicle access will be maintained.
* All work will be performed in the public right-of-way, unless otherwise noted.
* Garbage, recycling, composting, mail, and delivery service will be maintained.
* If services are interrupted, please call Community Services at 425-305-3578.
