Firefighters extinguished a fire in a restaurant in the Green Lake neighborhood. No injuries were reported. Investigators ruled the fire as accidental. Likely caused by faulty electrical.

Nov. 28: Residential fire in the 3900 block of S. Warsaw St.
Crews extinguished a fire in a residence in the Brighton neighborhood. No injuries were reported. Investigators ruled the fire as accidental. Likely caused by an unattended burning candle or incense.

King County Diversity and Recruitment Workshop recap

On Nov. 8, more than 240 potential applicants attended the King County Diversity and Recruitment Workshop at North Seattle College. This was the highest attendance of the nine recruitment workshops led by the King County Fire Chiefs Association. Attendees received tips on the written test, learned what to expect in the interview process and networked with fire agencies throughout the county. The next workshop will be held in spring 2026.

Retired Firefighter Harlan D. Anderson (center) visited the museum in October. Firefighter Anderson is currently 100 years young and will be turning 101 in January. He worked here when it was Station 10.

Let’s make this holiday season a little brighter for families struggling to make ends meet. Seattle Fire is partnering with the U.S. Marine Corps Reserves "Toys for Tots" [ https://fireline.seattle.gov/2025/11/19/seattle-fire-collecting-toys-for-toys-for-tots-on-dec-6/?utm_medium=email&utm_source=govdelivery ] toy drive [ https://fireline.seattle.gov/2025/11/19/seattle-fire-collecting-toys-for-toys-for-tots-on-dec-6/?utm_medium=email&utm_source=govdelivery ].
At four of our fire stations, we are collecting new, unused and unwrapped gifts for children ages newborn to 17.
Books, puzzles, games, nail and make-up kits, toys are among the welcome items.
Come by these stations between 2 and 4 p.m. on Saturday, Dec. 6. to say hi to our firefighters and drop off an item:
